Filming update - Bathtub scene

Over the half term, I have filmed some the shots foreshadowing the finale of my piece

I had experimented with shots for the piece trying to find which had worked well when I was framing the shots.

Instead of the petals that was initially planned we had decided to use entire roses as it gives of a more atmospheric effect I was looking for, the roses where thrown into the water at first which i filmed with both the camera I was using and my phone The reason I had included my phone in the piece was purely so I could look at specific filters and the solo motion effect before I had to decide whether to put it into the final presentation.

To create a ripple effect in the water I threw miscellaneous items into the water these included pebbles from my garden, this did not have the effect that I had intended so it was cut out.

The dress we had thrown into the water was carefully chosen, I had needed something simple to be able to show my audience that the the girl the piece focused on was just plain and ordinary there is nothing different or extraordinary about her throughout.

I had handled matches in this scene in order to light candles around the bathtub and to burn one of the roses. when handling them proper precautions where taken to make sure I wasn't harmed when handling them.

The bath water was steaming as intended for this scene so I had to work through most potential hazards this would have caused, wet floor/walls and the inability to some of my surroundings.
